A new exhibit opening at the Birch Aquarium at Scripps/UC San Diego, presented by The Lodge at Torrey Pines, exploring the world of the endangered Axolotl through mythology, folklore, and conservation. Visitors can discover other unique Mexican species including Tequila Splitfins and Blind Cave Tetras. The exhibit was created in collaboration with artist Itzel Islas and celebrates the ecological and cultural richness of Mexico and Baja California.
